Biography

A Lifetime in the Songs of the West

Known to fans as the Lady Balladeer of Texas, Judy James sings the songs of the cowboy, the cattle trail and the Texas frontier with the warmth of a storyteller and the polish of a trained choral musician.

A former choral music educator, Teacher of the Year and West Quest Award winner, Judy has carried her love of the West from the classroom to many of the most storied stages in Western music, from the State Fair of Texas and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo to the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada. She has recorded six albums and ranks among the Top 100 most-heard individual artists on cowboy and Western radio.
